The early years lay the foundation for a child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and nervous system development. During this time, everyday experiences — sleep, routines, relationships, environment, and connection — all play an important role in how children grow, learn, regulate, and thrive.
At The Early Years Collective, we help parents create calm routines, healthy sleep habits, supportive relationships, and a home environment where both children and parents can thrive. When parents feel informed, supported, and less overwhelmed, they are better able to create the calm, connected, and responsive environment young children need.
Through personalized guidance around sleep, routines, behavior, and early childhood development, we help families build a stronger foundation from the very beginning.
Using the right approaches and strategies from the start can help prevent challenges before they grow, build healthy patterns early, and create a more peaceful, connected family life.
Whether you are looking for help with routines, sleep, behavior, or simply understanding how to approach the early years with more confidence, the goal is the same: to help you feel informed, supported, and at ease in your role as a parent.
About me
Hi, I’m Lauren Russo.
I am the owner and founder of The Early Years Collective. I have spent more than 20 years working with children and families, and I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to the work I do.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling, I’m a former early childhood teacher and ADHD coach, and I’m a certified sleep consultant. My background includes extensive study in child development, child psychology, nervous system regulation, and positive parenting approaches, all of which shape the support I provide to families.
I am also a mother of twin boys, so I understand firsthand both the joy and the intensity of raising children. That lived experience, combined with my professional background, allows me to support parents with both knowledge and empathy. The early years are some of the hardest but they can also be the most rewarding if you have the right support and guidance.
I do not believe in one-size-fits-all parenting support. Every child is different, every family is different, and the best guidance is always thoughtful, flexible, and individualized.
My approach is tailored to each family’s specific needs, goals, and values. I believe the early years and the parent-child relationship are two of the most important influences on a child’s development, and I aim to support parents in strengthening both.
My work is informed by current research and evidence-based best practices in child development and parenting. It draws from trusted sources such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, along with widely respected frameworks in child development and parenting, including positive parenting, connection-based approaches, and whole-brain child principles.
My goal is not to hand you a generic plan, but to help you better understand your child, feel more confident in your decisions, and create lasting changes that support your family as a whole.
